Lovely coach journey through the beautiful countryside and along the Lake of the four Cantons to Lucerne. Short city tour with the main sights of Lucerne and visit to the Lion Monument. Time at leisure to explore the charming old town. Continuation to Kriens, from where we take the panoramic gondolas and aerial cableway to the summit of Mount Pilatus (7000ft / 2132m). Unforgettable view over the surrounding mountains and lakes. Time at leisure for lunch (optional) or to hike to the summit and enjoy the breathtaking view over the Swiss Alps and the lake. Descent on the world's steepest cogwheel railway (48% gradient) to Alpnachstad, followed by a lovely boat ride (1 h) to Lucerne. Return to Zurich by coach. Entire tour with multi-lingual guide.
